i brought a polo 1.2 s 52 reg from an auction, SOLD AS SEEN, anyway the car does not rev over 30. (half way) there is a tube in the engine that is not connected to anything but looks like it should be, The tube sucks air in by the way. what shall i do? please help me

If it's a 52 plate, you want to be posting in the MKVI Section :D

the pipe is a vacume pipe and proberly connects under the airfilter box!
and as for not reving past 3k sounds like it is in limp home mode !!
get it on a diagnostic computer and it will tell u y! (proberly a sensor has failed like the cam or crank sensor!)

Do the following:

Sign up to an image host site like photobucket

Upload the pic you require

Once it's uploaded, copy the link under the image that starts with [img],%20and%20ends%20in[/img].

Paste it into the reply bar, happy days.

yep thats a vacum pipe it fits onto the side of the airbox! when u remove the air box they also come off and ive seen alot of times people forgeting 2 replace them!
sadly though that wont be causing your 3k rev limit problem!
