Post by lolhoward »

Hi,

I have a 1.4 8V Polo and thinking of getting a K&N induction kit but have never fitted one and everyone has so many opinions of where to place filter/cold air intake pipe.

Please could any1 give me some advice or some pictures of theres for inspiration & help, Cheers

PS--- Thanks to evryone thats helped me so far by adding posts and DIY Guides. Keep it up!

Run it from the original position in the wing, but use a a better pipe.

check this guide out, it's for a BMC CDA but you could use the same technique for any cold air feed.

Another idea is to run it donw to the passenger foglight grill.

Hi, thanks for your reply but for now i've chosen to just change the filters, either BMC or K&N as my insurance company wont insure me and the cheapest I got quoted was an extra £300.

Not worth it for poss 5BHP and some noise
