We're arriving Sat and camping sat night - do we just go to the campite at the end of the day or come find someone at the meet to pay etc?
dependant on how good your sense of direction is, you can just meet us there or you can follow us in! completely up to you, and we i'm sure paying can be sorted once we're there!

Gra, good job as usual mate! Makes my job a hell of alot easier! Make sure you get a beer or two off me!

Yeah if you can find your way there, then just turn up whenever you want, i'll just catch people sometime that night for the money, no rush for that.

If you are at the show on the Saturday (not sure if you are or not?) then I'm sure you could meet up with one of us there and follow us in.

Yeah, will be there saturday - picking up the car in the morning (it lives in a garage a few miles away),
giving it a quick clean, then heading up...so hopefully arrive late morning.
Poor polo is getting left behind this time round but will be escorting me to Santa Pod instead next month! :D

I'm sure i'll catch up with some of you at some point during the day.

What plans are there for the evening? Anyone bringing BBQ's? Drink? etc :P

Ahh, memories!!!!! :P

Just to let you all know, James rang the campsite this morning to confirm everything is fine. Its all good except she has also booked two other caravans in by mistake. She has rang them to cancel but has only been able to leave an answerphone message. So they may or maynot turn up, but there will be plenty of room anyway, so shouldnt affect us.

I know most of you are aware, but there is a static caravan just next to our site, where someone lives permanantly, so with that and if these other caravans turn up, can we please be respectful and not be too noisy. Everyone was great last year and we didn't have a problem, and as this is the only site within miles of the show (that we could find anyway) we don't want to be banned for future years.

Thanks all and see you tomorrow/Saturday

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that came along to the campsite, fortunetely we didn't have anyone off here back out, so thanks for that.

Also a big thank you to everyone that behaved themselves and was respectful to the owners and the caravan next door. This of course doesn't apply to the people that were revving their engines at 1:00 in the morning, whitegtipolo and boxxter1973 from UK-MKIVs from what I understand. That was completely disrespectlful to the owners, the widow in the caravan next door and all the other campers and has jeopardised our chances of staying at the same site next year. If we arrange the camping next year, you won't be invited. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is not only my opinion.

I hope everyone else enjoyed it still :P

Well said Gra, I think that echos the sentiments of most people. The people who own the field are kind enough to let us use a whole field for the weekend and don't need repaying with behavior like that.

Luckily I think they realise that is not how we normally behave and accepted our apologies on behalf of the idiots that caused all the trouble.

Hopefully they'll allow us back next year, it's a real nice site and still nice and close to the show itself.

Thanks Gra and anyone else involved in organising the camping for us.

Just in Whitegitpolo's defence, he only had his engine running to dry out as far as i'm aware - it was the other two numpty's in the tent next to me that were revving the golf.....but stopped after Chris had a go at them.

Hopefully they'll get banned and we won't see them next year...apparently they were doing it to p*ss off their MKIV club ?! :?
So why were they shining their headlights into my tent I ask?! :x

Cheers Charlie, hope one or two bad experiences doesn't put you of wanting to come again :D

Yeah the two lads from UK-MKIVs have already apologised (well the one that said it wasn't him but his mate that came along that was doing the revving has apoligised for them both anyway), but have been banned from next year. Don't know why they were doing it to p1ss off their own club, but it worked anyway, as everyone over have slated them and agreed they should be banned.

As for whitegtipolo, I know what I have been told as I didn't see who was doing it, but a few people have said that it was both the polo and Golf that were doing it

Hello.... this is Chris' partner, i know this is nothing to do with me but everyone has their opinion, i can't believe you actually came out with the words they are banned  how sad!
If Chris says he didn't rev it then he didn't! Lads will be lads and if OTHER lads want to be idiots revving their engines thats nothing to do with Chris, you can't just say right Chris did it he's banned if you say you didn't see him what proof do you have, don't be sooo sad!
I'm shocked how pathetic all this sounds!!!!

Anyway love ya's :D

Well said Gra.

Drying out or not, it's not really fair to start your car up when people are sleeping at 1am. It's not being set in our ways - its just respect for other people.

Anyway it's done now, nothing can be done to change what's happened, just prevent it next year.

Well thats your opinion, by the way its Chris' partner again so don't give him grief!
He's a big boy if he wants to dry his stuff out thats up to him just like if you wanted to run round naked thats up to you darling! At the end of the day he turned his car on its loud on tick over he apologized what else can he do!
Anyway he spent alot of money coming to this show and none of you are very welcoming from what i've been told.
Your a car website aren't you?? Doesn't that mean going to cruises meets whatever you want to call them to see people's cars and meet other drivers????? Not moan about the drunken fool who revved his engine and blame other people!!!!

I haven't seen his apology - unless he done it in person? But looking at his post above, he doesn't appear to be too bothered.

As I'm sure you can imagine, starting your car up at 1am and waking people up, they aren't going to be too impressed with the person in the morning. We're not blaming other people, he's admitted to starting his car so therefore, he is to blame as well as the Golf driver who has publicly apologised on uk-mkivs.
