To white gti polo's partner - fair play for sticking by your man, but everyone was understandably made angry by his actions, not only did he wake everyone up, but he has also jepardised our future use of the campsite where the owners have kindly been letting us camp for several years.
If he's such a big boy as you said, he should be taking responsibility for his actions and apologising himself rather than leaving you to do it.

Hello all
I'm Charlie's other half Chris, I just want to thank the polo bunch for letting me join in with your camping.
Big Thank you
Now the whole revving thing needs to be cleared up.
I got out of my bed to tell the joker revving his mk4 to shut up.
I understand he pissed alot of people off, me included. Bearing in mind his H.I.D's were aimed straight at our tent and knowing 4 of the blokes that went to the pub were absolutely steaming, with one of them behind the wheel.
I told them to turn his engine off and he did, his reason was that earlier in the day the mk4 club had completely blanked them on there arrival. His revenge was to wake them up.
I explained it wasn't just them that were here, He then made excuses it was a VW festival like bug jam or something. I told him it wasn't, it was a quite camp site with residents living on site.
They stopped and i went back to my tent as it started to hammer it down with rain, After that Whitegtipolo turned up 20 mins later soaking wet and started his car, he didnt rev it like the mk4 and didnt bounce it off the limiter.
I'm not saying this is right but the people that actually woke everyone was the welsh guys mate in the mk4.
Whitegtipolo probably shouldn't have started his car even if he was soaked, just a simple sorry would make the world of difference and clear this all up.
cheers again all, had a great evening and was good to meet the other men (and ladies) in charlie's life.

Thanks for telling the truth i was not prepared to explain the whole situation as i am utterly p1ssed off with all the b1tching bout me! None of you came up to me the day after and viewed your concerns with me, so i saw as i had done nothing wrong as the golf boys were the main "noisy" lot!
Saying that i know i should have not run my car that late! But i did not rev it up loud or turn on my headlamps!I was wrecked and not with it and uttertly soaked!
I would have appreciated one of you too confront me personally, instead of blasting me on a public forum!!!

I was ready to confront you and your loud car / bass box at 1:30am....whitegtipolo wrote: I would have appreciated one of you too confront me personally, instead of blasting me on a public forum!!!
But around about this time i was also hearing bottles being thrown about along with swearing... (My personal safety came first...)
I had originally gone back to sleep after Mr MK4 had woke me up, so i was not very pleased when the Polo was turned over either....
I must add there were also a few blips of the throttle from that as well!
I also got completely soaked trying to find out who's car alarm kept going off...
Yet you don't see me turning over my noisy diesel car at 1:30 am to "dry off" i just got back into my tent and went back to bed!
I wont even start of the fact that no one should have been behind the wheel of any car in the pissed up state they were in when they came back from the pub....
My last grumble is the 3 inch scratch in the rear door on my car which appeared on the Saturday afternoon / evening on the camp site....
I am not pointing fingers and have no idea about who / how it got there. I was just annoyed as that panel was only painted 9 months ago.. Please can people just be a little more careful when other members cars are about
Other than the above, i had a really nice weekend! good to see the usual faces and some new ones!
Thanks to all that organised the camping, it was much appreciated!

Like i said, not worrying about it, these things happen, the wind was very strong that day and a tent pole could have easily knocked it or some rubble gone flying without anyone's knowledge.Gra-GT wrote:Woah, sorry to about the scratch Chris, sounds like a right be-atch!
Bit of a strange place to happen too considering where you were parked- Hope you get it sorted though mate.
Glad these little niggles haven't put you off wanting to come next year though
I think most of it will polish out, only a small section looks to be deep.
Defiantly will be seeing us again next year anyway! I will be taking my car down the sprint by then as well! lol

whitegtipolo - You read the rules that Gra posted up and obviously didn't stick to them. There is no arguement really so lets put a lid on this. Stop blaming the MK4 owner too as you are both to blame whether he had a bee in his bonnet or not thats not your concern or ours.
BTW thought you weren't taking your faster that an R32 car down the sprint? Well looking at the results it isn't faster lol
