18" alloys

Hello,
im planning to trade in my mk4 polo for a mk6. i was wondering if 18x8 wheels with 215/35/18 will fit without arch mods. what offset do i need as i dont understand what it is!?!
im not planing to slam the mk6 just maybe a 30mm drop.

should be ok, might have minor scrubbing if your carrying passengers. probably better getting 7.5 rims if you can

no-one on here has been brave enough to go beyond 17" so no-one will be able to confirm this...

i have had 18 inch RS4 TT wheels fitted on my polo 9n no problems . that was with 225 x 40 x 18 tyres
the car wasnt lowered at the time and they didnt catch
