Strange earthing problem

Hi all

I have the 1.2s (02 model) and I've noticed a strange problem on the instrument panel: When you either depress the brake pedal and / or indicate right, the headlight symbol on the dashboard comes on.

I guess this is down to a poor earthing problem but does anyone know where I could look ? Does it involve taking the dashboard apart ?
