Check out this remap - realistic?

From a company called MIJ Performance. Claiming 140bhp from just a remap, i rung them and they maintain they can 100% do it. Improved fuel economy when driving normally, obviously a bit worse when giving it full beans, but 140bhp never the less.

what we think?

I had an exhaust fitted by MIJ Performance on my Beetle and i couldnt fault them for the work they did.

They have since moved to a bigger more fancier garage and I went back there to see about getting an exhaust on the polo and they wouldnt even look at it to decide what i needed

They are more interested if a japanese car pulls onto their driveway though.

A maximum figure for a standard engine would be around 12bhp increase, so they are saying a 15bhp increase from standard. Would need to see proof lol

How much they charging for it?

Walsall isn't too far from me, so if this does sounds as good as it does then I'm very interested.

Yeah, how much are they charging? Sounds interesting, keep us updated if you decide to go with it.

Although id probably suspect 135 +/- 2hp would be the actual figure

i think 140 is a bit much more like 135 to 137 look on custom code they wil go upto 145 but that depends on wat stage you have done

it was just under Â£300, cant remember the exact figure.

well if custom code say they can acheive around 145bhp with a stage 2 custom map then maybe what MIJ are saying is realistic.

what makes you say 12bhp is the maximum increase possible mouse?

This does sound really interesting if they can guarantuee 140, would have to do some research on they're company though.

Yeah and where do they do the remap?? Do they come to you like angel tuning do??

And what stage does ur car have to be in like induction kit or exhaust perhaps cos u will definatly need more airflow and then to get rid off them burnt up fumes???

It's usually up to a 10% increase maximum on the original output of the engine, if it is n/a and standard
