Been waiting for you to start your progress thread for some time! Can't wait to see what you offer!

Any tips/advice on how you moved the engine from the car to your garage as I will be starting work on my motor soon and not sure how to get the engine off my drive and into my shed?

well i tell you what getting the head off my old mk3 golf (some may remember the "blue s**t") was a bit of an arsehole i must admit. We were in a rush and very limited on tools. All you really need is a decent set of sockets and a ratchet plus someone to make tea (i was making the tea lol). Well i done a bit of work with a piece of scaffolding too but there you go. as its not a whole engine i cant really answer. We left the bottom end in the engine bay as unfortunately the blue beast was heading for the scrappy the next day. I transported it in the back of my sisters 1.0L in an old drawer wrapped in plastic bags that remained in the blue s**t from an old job lol.

If i were to be moving an engine on minimum equipment i would probably use a skateboard and some pieces of 2x4 to reinforce the board lol. I like to botch.

DTM Style Splitter? Laughing
To answer both: A gold plated DTM mother fuckiing splitter, Honk Honk Bling Bling!!!! Nah seriously its a serious bit of botch kitting to make the bumper stand out. Ive not decided fully on whether im gonna do it or not. Its party to cover my ass as i may not have measured things up correctly when i started putting the bumper together, and it may need to be extended somehow. Lets just say theres a toyota MR2 involved, and i may have found it while walking in the woods, of all places, last year lol. Itll make things erm.... large? lol
Neons ???????
No but i did have this one idea that onvolved some upwards facing red floor lights and a smoke machine once. Which i might still do lol.

The tap sir still remains. Well some of it. I still have it on the skirts because i had a bad back and couldnt be bothered to pull it off. When will it be done by? well... only time will tell. id like to say i have a timeframe but i have this thing for buying DvD's at the moment which is seriously cutting into my spending so as off this week i need to be a little more watchful controlled on my cashflow lol. I should hope too see it done for atleast september though.

Im waiting on finding a set of bloody bike carbs. I set ym alarm wrong last night which was a fuckign b***h cos i nearly had a set of suzuki GSXR 750 carbs for 26 quid!!!! Wanted to bid at the last minute but forgot about it and lost out to some other duschbag. Was rather upsett. But i still got my eye out for a set. Then i got to think how the hell im gonna do the turbo cos that s**t will just be crazy!

Im not to clued up on the hole Carbs.... but I guess it will let more air out of the engine into the exahust quicker... but do you need a better CAM shaft for a good effect... also how much does this effect your petrol consumption???
