Indicator Problem... Stalk?

Hello Guys,

About a week ago, i purchased a X reg polo Gti 3 door, It was absolutlely immaculate, full service history and 60k on the clock, the only problem it has that the indicator is intermittent on the left side, sometimes it goes and clicks regularly and sometimes it doesn't, all the bulbs are ok, the hazard lights work fine and it indicates fine to the right. Can it still be the relay, or as i am assuming, definitely the indicator stalk, and if so is the indicator stalk an easy job to do? Are there any diy guides around?

Hi Tom

It sounds like the stalk. Its a steering wheel off job to get it sorted though, which means disconnecting the airbag

I beleive the haynes manual documents how to do it all.

squirt a tiny drop of wd into the underside of the stalk where it goes into the cowling, may just freshen up the contact...
