Fixing pressed plates

What do people think is the best way to fit a german pressed plate, was thinking a surround so I can swap between that and my legal one or velcro but dont know how well that will hold up or srew them in. Any help would be great thanks

i have held my tinted plates on with 3m double sided tape, but its a permenant fix, you would not be able to swap and change between though, as the bond is so tough

however, doing so means a safe fix to the car without unsightly screws and drilling of the bumpers

probably not much help, just what i have done

velcro works fine mate, had my plates on with it for a good 6 months now

i have velcro, but it is strong stuff and i actually bent my plates trying to change them, so they will not just drip off

Where did you get the velcro from pip?

bnq do it off a roll. its like 2" wide and if your doing both pressed plates and uk ones youl want like 1.5m, only be like £2 or something. on my metal plates to make it stick i got a bit of wet n dry to create some small scratches so it had something to stick to.. but not essential lol

Was thinkin if using velcro could I not just use balck velcro and stick em to my uk plates?

i have the hooked side of the velcro on the cars bumper, and the hairy bit of the velcro on the backs of my plates.

Stick the black velcro over the letters on my uk plate then stick the german ones to that, then if I do get the pull just take em off and act dumb say just been to a show and forgot to take em off sorry kind of thing

hmmm, not sure they would allow you to stick things on the plate.

easier to just have english ones in the boot with velcro ready to go, and the pressed ones on the car ready to come off lol

Just use trim repair tape or velcro.

There's no point using the velcro as a form of quick release. It will only show the police a direct sign of defiance to the law.
