Sortedletter to ebay wrote:Hi,
I purchased a coilover kit from you not so long ago, (item #**********), I have had them fitted for some time now, and the springs have now had time to set. It would appear though, that one of the rear shocks is faulty. It requires the spring to sit lower than the other 3, yet compresses in the same way, causing the springs to sit evenly but for this one to bottom out when up under pressure.
I have had this professionally checked out, and it has been diagnosed as a faulty rear shock.
As these are under a two year warranty I'd expect a replacement for one of the rear suspension struts. Please contact me with details of how to do this.
Thank you very much
yes u can BUT the shock needs stripping down before u can safely do it!
hence the U CAN GET THEM REBUILT bit! lol
and i dont think tim is stupid so dought he would pay 120pound a shock 2 have them rebuilt when the kit proberly only cost £150-200 pound!
tim : good luck with the letter dude! fingers are crossed for u!

yes but its not like u can stick a pump on them and pump them up! lol
u need 2 send them back 2 who made them and they will change the seal and regas them! REBUILD
not saying your mates havent mate, just u make it sound like its somthing any local garage can do for u! have a look on the gaz website it shows u how they do it! rearly intresting stuff!
think about it shocks ar not ment 2 leak so if your shock has lost pressure and asuming there was a way 2just pump them back up again what would be the point as they will only leak again! however if u replace all the seals and nipples (need 2 be striped 2 be done ) then u can regas them! this is known as a rebuild! hope this helps

Yes i see where your coming from but i never stated that you just pump them up, i just didnt want to go into detail as Tim was baffled of re-gassing anyway, but i no the details of re-gassing shocks, or re-build as you call it
i just put it down to that the shock could have lost pressure?
While were on the subject Tim is there any oily type resedue around the shock? does it feel more spongey then the other shock?
