Hi,
Right don’t know if this is any use to someone but it’s gathering dust in the garage so thought I’d ask on here...
Parcel shelf constructed from 18mm MDF to fit 9N / 9N3 perfectly.
The solid construction helps enormously with sound quality and also keeps your expensive kit out of view.
I made this up myself for my own car but decided to do something else with my audio in the end so never used it.
Made to look just like the original VW shelf - curve on front edge and angled edges on centre cut out (see pics).
# Holes cut to accommodate 6x9 speakers (to be mounted from underside).
# Wide mesh over holes to prevent carpet/acoustic cloth from sagging and looking rubbish.
# All edges/corners sanded smooth.
This makes everything look neat and tidy + keeps your expensive audio out of sight of thieves…. As it looks stock!
Probably a good thing - The shelf hasn’t had any carpet on, so whoever wants it can choose the right colour acoustic cloth to match their interior (few quid off eBay??) to cover themselves.
It’s dead easy to cover, just some aerosol spray contact adhesive is best.
It’s not hinged on the back edge as there is no point in doing so. It’ll quite happily sit up at an angle by just lifting it (see pics).

See other photos of my brother’s identical shelf (which is covered) in his 9N… His has been in there for over 4years and still looks nice a fresh.

(Not sure if it matters, but holes were cut against infinity speakers)
Located near Peterborough.
A good few hours work went into this £Offers???
