Tyre Troubles

Post by Clawz »

I know that this is a little off topic :P But I am looking to get some new tyres for my polo and I've been told that I'm likely to pay about £50 per tyre...

Thing is that as I have used the spare the other day (What a b***h that was) I have to get 5 tyres... I don't like having odd tyres.

Never having bought any this is beginning to sound like £250 that going out... I was therefore thinking of getting some alloys with tyres...

Can anyone offer any advice on this - WHether it's a good idea when I've not got lowered suspension yet etc... I'm not too good on tyre buying... Also, if anyone knows where I could obtain tyres at a reasonable price then I am more than welcome to listen

Thanx all!!

I was thinking this too.. See the chassis section, there is a couple of good posts on tyres.

But for more info and quite cheap tyres see : www.mytyres.co.uk

Just don't get Continental!!

I'm quite suprised that we haven't managed to get a forum discount with a wheel retailer or online wheel retailer....

Maybe it's something we should look into?
