I've got the "common Fault" of the reverse light failure
It looks like the wire has snapped really close to where it goes into the switch plug.
Has anyone fixed this fault and can tell me what i need please ?
Have a look across on briskoda - as this has been covered many times and maybe even this week. Failing that you will need to remove the pins and add in a short extra length of wire.
I had a look on there, plenty of info, i dont mind getting my hands dirty but it's in hard to get to spot from above and i aint getting under it !
Apparently it's a "common Fault" on A3's and Skoda's aswell, how they can get away with such an obvious design fault, doesn't fill the 9N owner with confidence.
Whats Next
Hum, now you sound like you are as disillusioned about "VW quality" as I am, but in all fairness, as I've said many times before, these nasty little cars are 100% Skoda where it counts most! They don't say that on the adverts - yet Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza keep winning awards - strange eh! VW Polo on the other hand is meant to be an extremely tough little car - it just does not add up does it? Maybe the award bodies and the adverts are not being truthful - no change there then!
