Hello Members, i've just tonight notice my windscreen washer motor isn't working, i don't hear it hum at all, and i never leave the fluid to get more than half empty in the bottle, i'ts not used that much.
I've checked the fuse, it's in slot 50 on the fuse board, it's got '15' written on it, it looks ok with no obvious splits or gaps, the wipers are working and i think this fuse is for both 'washer/ front wipers, can anyone confirm this?....cheers
Also how do i test if there's power getting to the motor, i have a meter tester, but i'm not sure what to set the meter to, which voltage.
I'm hoping the problem is just the Windscreen Washer motor, and not somthing to do with the 'Wiper/washer stalk'.
Any help would be very grateful.
regards

Well it would be 12v you want and if your voltmeter is anything like mine you have to set it to the "<20v" setting which should work just fine.
Get someone to press on the washer stork whilst you hold the negative to an earthing point (body of the car) then the live to the Positive input for the motor. Assuming thats visible? That should give you some sort of reading on the voltmeter if the stork is working and power is getting to the motor
