You will lose use of the changer as they use the same port. As for the phone you can keep that no problem thats on a seperate block :)

I was searching the forums earlier and came across this thread:

From what I've read, you can apparently keep the CD changer.

Anyone know anything about it?[/url]

Well, i havent ordered this for the following reasons..

I only have an IPOD Shuffle, bearing in mind this uses a 3.5mm jack or a 3.5mm jack to USB then there must be an alternative and cheaper cable to use for the shuffle.......if the gamma had preouts i could get a preout cable to a 3.5mm jack! grrr there must be something!

Alex, are these the old style preouts as in the ones that take phono leads? If so will this fit....and run a shuffle........

They are phono preouts, but its an output, and not an input. The only way to put an input into the gamma is through the changer port. It can be done with a little device off ebay for about 30 - 40 quid that you plug in, that makes the HU think it has a changer attached.

The changer is usually superseeded, but there is a way that you can switch between the two :)

Im very good at ICE. Will pm you some details regarding this and maybe we can come to some sort of arrangement :) It wont need detailing for a few months yet....well at least I hope not!!

Will link you when i have had a chance to browse!
