Silver Polo GTI with white wheels

Yesterday on the a27 going past Havant, a guy in a silver Polo with white wheels drove past me.

Was that you????????

Hi, sorry for the long delay in this reply but this was probably me. After passing you again today (???) I decided to look through this section of the forum. The wheels are actually grey (bit of a mistake at the powder coaters) but they do look white in low light. Are you the owner of the red gti, lowered with tinted windows? Thats one awesome looking polo if it is.

Yes i am the owner of the awesome red GTI. Its nice for a girl to have a nice car for once and not all you lads ha ha. Where you work then? I have the pleasure of working in Whiteley

Ahh, I work just the other side of the M27 at Segensworth. We were in Fareham but moved to Segensworth in March, giving me an extra 10 miles to do each day! My poor little polo is now doing nearly 50 miles a day from Chichester to work! And its now coming up to 80,000 miles which according to a few reports on here, could mean my original gearbox is on borrowed time

All seems OK at the moment though (hope I haven't just cursed it saying that!)
Your polo really does look smart, you've got me so tempted to lower mine now

My Polo has just gone over 80,000 too so waiting for the gearbox to go on mine.
I have coilovers on mine sitting @ 80mm. Bumps are a killer though lol.

There is a meet on tonight in Havant if your up for it. Not just VW, all cars welcome. Starts at half 7 and meeting in Wicks car park.
