i'll make you feel better, the only pics i can find of my old car:

that may or may not be a purple neon in the boot
In my defense on the log book it said it was BLUE & it was BLUE although i got a slating for it! haha
About 12 months later it was a bit wet & the polo decided it wanted to say hi to a bollard on the side of a roundabout, paid 800 quid to fix but the gearbox had been f****d by the crash..

I did have some other pics but i lost them, it was literally completely standard on the 13" steels

That's really not that bad.Trottagti wrote:pedal box and new steering rack/arm=680quid
Service=230quid
belts and tensioners failed=450quid
and now my gearbox=more than likly to be over=500quid!
The cars are crap really, no joys of the gti at all its a money pit! i knew i shoulda bort a pug gti lol!
The cambelt needs changing in all VWs at some point, with these it's just a case of getting the tensioners and water pump done at the same time, not alot more cost.
The Pedal Box was a recall, was yours recalled? If not, that's probably the reason why it went, and you should have checked that when you bought it.
The Gearbox is a prone weak point of the car, some people get the bad luck some people don't. It's all down to how your treat the box though really, regular oil changes and a good clutch kit can keep it healthy. No care for it and thrashy driving can destroy it.
Every car has it's bad points, just seems like you've hit all three. But like I said, there's precautions that you can take, and maybe should've (if you didn't) taken.
Again i can only echo Tim and Bepe.
You keep going on about owing like 2k on your credit card and getting a bike can exhaust when youve paid it off etc.
How you gonna get a new Polo GTi on finance if you already owe money lol
Lets hope if you get one you dont chav the fcuk out of it
I heard you can get 2bhp increase if you put a panel filter in the exhaust

A 1500 quid bill sais uva wise, its not made well guys,
Erm the pedal box was recalled and went again, and they didnt wana pay out again so i had to, and i can chav the fuk outa wot i want, everyone has there own opinions on wot there car can look like, but i do feel iv had some terrible luck with this car, i start it on my drive, do my hair n that so its nicely warmed up before i drive it, i dont rag it or drive it fast to do the car damage as its not that quick! i can afford finance cos im forkin out for my car now the gti like 150 a month and then another 150 for credit card so i think 300quid will cover the new gti cost easy, i just hope its a cheap fix as i cant afford anymore with this car!

I hope everyone has an exhaust on their GTi, if they didnt it would be way louder than, say a bike exhaust for exampleTrottagti wrote:I Would never have one of them clip on kits i hate them with a passion lol
