What kind of beep do you get ???

Is it a quiet beep or wake the neighbours beep ??

I have recently bought vagcom and was thinking of doing this.

There is a setting for auto lock after 5mph and auto unlock upon removal of the key, but i'm not sure if this will work on the polo or not as i havent had the chance to play with it yet.

Its just one chirp. You can have it do two chirps on unlocking - but a bit pointless. Isnt too loud - but loud enough to hear it - just like any toad alarm etc..

Havent looked at the Auto locking - so will have a mess about!

there is a topic for the 9n on how to do it, its very similar to the channels used on the 6n2 but they are slightly different.

I have also read on here somewhere that the auto lock/unlock dont work on the 6n2 GTI as the central locking is air powered. Should work on the 9n though.

Yeh the beep is a cool little feature.

And we tried and tested the auto lock on my car, it doesn't work on the 6N2.

Channel 03 Auto Lock (Does not work on the 6N2)
Channel 04 Auto Unlock (Does not work on the 6N2)
The channels for the beep and flash are slightly different to those mentioned above as channel 5 is for interior monitor (whatever that is. lol)
Channel 06 Unlock, horn sounds (Works Fine on 6N2)
Channel 07 Lock, horn sounds (Works Fine on 6N2)
Channel 08 Unlock, turn signals flash (Works Fine on 6N2)
Channel 09 Lock, turn signals flash(Works Fine on 6N2)

This is how mine is after today, the beep feature is pretty cool :)

The auto lock/unlock deffo doesnt work though :(

I like the beep, its just confirmation that its locked or unlocked, in the past i have quite often gone back to pull on the handles etc.

Yes, but you need an 'activated' copy of vag com to run the module adaptation.
