Another HID question

Hi All

I no this topic has been discussed many times and I have been through the search function however being at work im strapped for time so here it goes, I had a HID kit on my 6N2 1.4 16v polo, I have now purchased a 6N2 GTI Polo and was wondering if I could use the kit, what I want to do is, when you flick on your lights, dimmers (i.e turn the switch to the 1st step, not the main beam) the lights are that weak yellow colour, I want to no if I can wire the HIDâ€™s to them so I would be running HIDâ€™s on the dipped and Xeons on the main beam ?? I think that makes sence lol. Does anybody no if this is possible ?

I dont think so no. The best you can do is put in LED sidelights to create a white light to match your white HID's.

it is a different kit for the GTi xenon headlights.

You must have had a h7 kit for your 1.4 16v, you'll need a ds2 kit I think it is for the GTi

Argh Screwing, Ok cool i guess the kit and my FK's will be up for sale than shortly.

Does anyone no what fitement bulb i would need for the dipped beams then ?? I might have to grab some of them Philip's bulbs unless anyone no's a decent set that would work and last ?

D2S is dipped on the GTI

H1 Is main beams

W5W is sidelights

Your saying your dipped bulbs are poor?

That should not be the case. if they are level the GTi lamps are awesome.

The bulbs just must be worn out, they're probably the original ones after all.

Buy some 6000k D2S bulbs for them, you won't be disppointed.
