my polo has one. you open the flap and then use the car key that u use to turn the engine on to unlock the cap. once its locked, if u turn the petrol cap it just rotates and doesnt undo but if u unlock it then u can. mine was already on the car tho.

Mines the same as the previous poster. I figured all polo's would be the same. seems the safest option.
