Haha its a pig to get in! You just need to unscrew the glove box so you can ease it forward. The entry is right up the back behind the air con unit - its very very tight. having big hands made it even more difficult.

It took me two hours to get the cable through that grommet it was sooo difficult!

An alternative is where the washer pipe comes into the car...its sealed, and will definately let 8 gauge through :)

You can do it without taking the glovebox off or loosening it, you just need to be able to get your hand up the back of the sound deadening material.

It is hard work, but i managed to do the whole thing on my own so its not impossible. Definately would have been easier with two people.

Try putting a screwdriver throught the rubber grommet (engine side) leave it in there and then feel around for it up the back of the dash.

Because i was doing it on my own, i had to oil the cable up to help pull it through.

I managed to get the cable in within 45 minutes.

The dogs earflap bit at the bottom of the footwell is the easyest way to do it in my opinion, bit of swearing and punching later i did it lol! Glovebox area is stupidly hard i think i tried and failed! lol!

neil you are a legend, done it earlier!

definately stay away from undo-ing the glovebox, you dont even need to!

all you have to do it pull the passenger carpet up, lift the sound deadening up and put your hand as far up and right as possible, beware of the sharp bits lol! its alot easier with a screwdriver in the gromit aswel -good luck

In the passenger's footwell?! don't put it in there, that's a pipe for the air con. If you pierce that seal you'll flood your footwells with air con waste!

Its true what time says. Unless you want your car full of air con waste, you best not use that entry at all!
