Wheels Again

Post by Tom W »

Right then folks,

I am also getting pretty fed up of my standard black wheels with the polished lip so i am looking for something with a deepish polished dish costing somewhere within the hundreds rather than thousands. I would like to buy new with tyres but may think about re furbing some old wheels :) So what do we reckon?? suggestions please :)

Thanks Tom

Yeh Ronal LSs are probably the cheapest decent looking alloy with a lip.

Either them of ATS cups, or you could could go 13" with some wellers? 8)

Do 13"s even fit over the standard 256mm brakes? :?

I've seen them done, so i know it's possible. It would be quite selective though I'd imagine.

No Club Stand at VW Festival I'm afraid Tom. There was not enough interest to book one! :(

Sorry to bump up this old thread but i think i have finally decided that i need to order some Ronal LS. Good wheels for the money? I think i will prob order them from rimstyle so i can get some 5 mm spacers and longer bolts for the rear all on one order. I have decided to source the tyres elsewhere so i can get the stretched. Please send your posative and negative opinions :)

Thanks :)

Yeh LSs are a good choice, decent value for money. I considered them myself at one point. I'd go with 10mm spacers at front, and 20mm on back though 8)

10mm on front and 20mm  on back is impossible unless running 165 or 175/50s or some serious flare.... trust me, go for 5 up front and 10 round the back and even then you'll shred your tyres if you're lower than 60mm or so... id personally run 185/45's and use 5mm spacers on the back... Just my opinion anyway... with your 20mm plan you're talking et5!! How low u plannin on going an how much stretch are u willing to run??

Edit: heres my car on 15x7s with a 15mm spacer on the back making them et23...they scrub a fair bit if i keep the car any lower than this... running 195/45s btw! Oh an the front is now lower 8)
