Yeah they look 10x better. Didn't realise they were so easy to fit. Tempted to do my fogs aswell.
When you do them cut a bit off then screw the door pin back down then test (lock/unlock), then take it off and cut another bit and so on. Well thats how I did it and was able to get them all the same height.
It another one of them tiny touches that makes the car look that little bit better, well when locked!

Here's a couple of pics of where I fited my ballasts for my HID kit. I mounted them both under the plastic panel in between the front grill and the radiator. I just drilled two small holes and secured them with cable ties. This then gave me a easy way of securing and hiding the cables, from the ballasts to the lights. I also thought this way they should stay quite dry and clean and there away from anything hot and out the way if any work needs to be carried out.
Looks nice and tidy mate. I need to tidy my engine bay up.....along with every other job i havent finished on my car
Don't SE's have engine covers like mine? I thought the Polos with that engine were the spec below mine? Then the 75bhp SE then 100bhp SE then the GTi? Or am i completely mistaken ?
I decided to replace my rotten perished aerial base today. Another simple job but one that makes quite a difference. My old one was slowly getting worse and worse and the bits flaking off were affecting the paint around it and quite a bit further up, as you can see in the pics below.
So I removed the old aerial and base and cleaned the area around it, using a small bit of Tcut to get rid of the specs. Then a bit of polish and it was back to new. So I then fitted the new aerial base/seal, with an added bit of silcone grease around the o ring on the inside as the base isn't a seal, tightened the nut and its back to new and looking a lot cleaner.
