Exhaust

Post by polospeed »

Had my car in my mate’s garage today and noticed that the back box is all rotten and don’t think it will last much longer. Can anyone recommend a new back box or a full system that would give me a bit better sound nothing to loud just little rumble? its a 1.4 16v 100bhp Cheers

Is it not just the outer skin that has become porous and has scabby bits.

Not sure all I know is that there are large holes all over the back box. Will try and get some pics up tomorrow. A few of the holes are quite deep and the rest of it is about 90% rust.

Yeah, I think that's what's happened on mine anyway. Not much mind you, but I don't think it affects the integrity of the backbox anyway...

An excuse for me to get a straight through from the cat....TDis are no louder with both silencers removed and it should make the exhaust system less restrictive...

Let us know if it is the outer skin mate :)
