Cleaning Alloys

Had some fade looking marks on my alloys appear the last few months. Got told to use AutoGlym Resin Polish followed by their Extra Gloss and heres the results. Cant believe the difference!

nice work, you should get some poorboys wheel sealant and that'll keep the finish good

I've started sorting my wheels out, they were a mess

That photo was after autosmart tardis and a clay, after i took those photos I took it in the garage and got all the bits out the corners with a little brush then put on werkstat prime polish and 3 coats of poorboys wheel sealant, came up great after that

it can be seen if you look

stop them getting permanently marked too

now the tar is off and its sealed it can easily be cleaned again with a wheel back brush

You should try Chemical Guys Jetseal 109. Two coats of that and you literally only need water to clean your wheels

yea its not bad but apparently doesnt last as long as the poorboys and apparently the pb's it better at handling the likes of high temperature brake dust...but as with most sealants etc it's all subjective.

I'll stick to pb sealant for the wheels and werkstat sealant for the paint

Just heard bout puttin a sealant on the alloys yesterday!! Canna believe a didna know bout it!!! Am a NEWBIE lol!

Got told the ARP and AGP is a really good combo?

I'm using collinite 476s as sealant at the moment. Getting some poorboys when I've got enough items to purchase to justify delivery prices lol.

ARP and AGP is average stuff, I've never used it on wheels but on paint it's stupidly hard work for the finish it produces compared to other better products.

so you mean SRP and EGP?

if so, it's ok for paint, although dusty as hell, but won't last on wheels - you need something like poorboys wheel sealant to endure the harsh conditions and temperatures wheels are exposed to
