Mass buy-tyres...any takers?

Post by tegwin »

Last time I bought tyres around 16,000 miles ago I fitted Yokohama S-Drive tyres...

They have lasted pretty well given the silly amount of abuse they have had. I can do silly corners at silly speed with no squeel and no slide...Even in the wet suprisingly they stick like glue and dont seem to aquaplane too badly on flooded roads either!!

Basically, in short, pretty damn fine tyres!

I am going to be replacing my current tyres with the same again in the next few weeks.

If I can get a good price, would anyone be interested in a group buy of 2 or 4 of the Yokohama S-Drive (I should be able to get any size)?

Information here: http://www.yokohamatire.com/tires/s.drive.aspx

I am not sure on prices yet, but would imagine that they would be around 35-40 each....

I'm after a set of four 195/40/16's. Was gonna get some Toyos which I can get for around £65 each fully fitted.

Can you get these cheaper?

I'll be happy with the S-Drive's if you can get them for a good price. :)

How would these compare to Toyo Proxes 4 in terms of performance?

I dont have personal experience of the proxes, but having read reviews and seen that they are a lot more expensive than the Yokos,...I know what im going to be buying!!!

A bit dissapointing...looks like they wont give me the discount they thought they migt be able to...

The S-Drive 195/45/15 (standard GTI BBS size) comes in at £41 each plus postage....not amazing sadly...
