are you sure the seller is legimate? was it on ebay etc..?

I usually stay well clear of sending money abroad as you have very little security (to my knowledge)

I'd second that, would rarely advocate using a bank transfer in the UK let alone to another country!
If they were completely on the level then they would offer a credit or debit card payment or cheque service.
Not worth the hassle, even if the rims are nice. And let me guess, they went cheap too?!

I bought my wheels on ebay.de and paid with a funds transfer (my bank does them for free). I've bought about 20 things from Germany this way and haven't had any trouble yet. It's just the way they do business, go to German shop websites and you'll see their IBANs on the bottom of the page. I think th have no time for Paypal over there (don't get me started on paypal :x). Apparently it's quite difficult to get a bank account in Germany

That said ppl get ripped off everyday whether it's on ebay.de, ebay.co.uk or clubpolo.co.uk  If you've any doubts don't go through with. I was sending back and forward emails to the guy I bought the wheels from, so I got a good idea he was sound before sending the money

The BMW Ring Taxi has to be paid via International Money Transfer so there is nothing wrong with them.

Your best bet is just to do it through your bank as it's coming out of your account!
