whitepolo - you are not alone....

mine did it once... topped it up - never happened again - wierd..

Then when Dan came over he said same thing had happened to him - VW replaced the radiator I think...

I think they call this GREMLINS...

mines also done this once, re topped up tith water and coolant and its never happened again. i also have no leaks though, strange, unless maybe they are not bled right from the factory and they are holding on to an air lock somewhere ??????????

Yeah,
I've had issues with coolant. After topping it up several times, mine turned out to be a leaking radiator..... Took several trips and few pointless repairs before VW diagnosed correctly and replaced

Seems like most people have just topped up and never have any trouble after that. Hopefully yours is same as the majority.

i had this problem with the black one! - but this ended up to be a very small leak by the bottom hose, so you guys with leaky coolant, i suggest you have a goose at this bit!

just waiting for it to happen to the new one! lol

I checked my coolant level yesterday.... and.... its below the min level again... not low enough to trigger the dash lamp though....

So I top up again today and see what happens....

I've noticed my coolant level is always constantly low, even after services, not low enough to set the warning light off, but always just above the min mark. I've just put it down to being a VW thing. Will keep a closer eye on it now.

mine has dropped already cos i deliberatly over filled it and now its just below the join mark on the bottle! Hate the dealers, so im going to find the leak myself then show em, otherwise they will take 4eva to sort it! had more trouble with this car than any other  plus i still need a sus top mount
