key fob playing up

car starts first time and then the next time i go to start her up she wont start the car with the key sign on dash shows up. does my key fob need new batteries or is the alarm need looking into?? at the moment it's pot luck if she starts or not....sometimes after four or five attempts to fire her up she starts..

batteries control the central locking the immob is just a programmed chip so wont be them, sounds like and electrical fault ! i have had these at the road side and if you disconnect the cars battery for 5-10mins then see how it goes. If not try your spare key , then im afraid you will have to go to dealer to get the immob system checked?! :wink:

hey thanks for replying, it does this with the spare key as well. i will disconnect the battery for 10 mins and see what happens :?
