Yeah it seems as though its getting repaired now, got to watch the mechanic doesn't scratch the rim on the Rxii though! I couldn't get the old alloys off, it seems to have fused itself to the drum  I've coated the join in WD40 so hopefully it will have soaked in by tomorrow when I try again, all excess fluid cleaned up too

When you've got the alloy off, to stop it happening again, put a smear of copper grease on the drum & alloy. :)

Well guys, i'm still running on the BBS and 4x4 looks however my test is soon so if I pass i'll treat myself to those hot tuning coilovers :D. Been going over the car today, still got a little to do tomorrow. Today i've, 2 bucket washed the car down with autoglym bodywork shampoo, Meguiers step 1,2 and 3ed (which takes forever!) then polished up the RXii lips. I took the time to reapply the megs step 3 carnauba wax twice as it smells like heaven :D Plans for tomorrow is to black the plastics and possibly clean out the interior (its a mess :P). Anyway, here are couple of images of todays work...

Looks awesome mate. Great work. Have you thought about mark5 roof rails? It only makes sense following all the other colour coding you've done!!

The 3 steps IS damn hard work. Get on the Collinite and Klasse scene, it's more rewarding and not as tiring 8)

I'm going on a scrap yard run when i've pass where hopefully i'll be picking up the mk5 roof rails, a new door ( :D  ) and possibly chrome front and rear badges. The megs 3 step is a right tiresome job, it takes a good day to get the stuff on and off however the result is obvious. I have a "Source" who can get me collinite at next to trade price so will defo be picking up a couple of tins as I hear its excellent stuff.

I'm still on the hunt for winter wheels, got a bit of interest on a set of Colour concept BBS's which I might buy so keep updated. Also coilovers should be soon when I pass my test, so that will be very cool.

Yeh get some Collinite Wax, and some Klasse polish. They're much better than the megs stuff. And aren't as hard work.

When's your test?

I'll try and get a few tins so if you need any just gimme a shout :)

Test is on wednesday! Been out in the dub quite a few times already though, so i'm no stranger to it. BTW to your question in the pm, there is a chap breaking a mk5 GTI on club polo so i've picked up the GTI Gear knob from there.

Fairly confident, I know I can do it. If I fail, its going to be on something silly, just my luck :D

Hopefully I can get a set of winter wheels sorted soon as the polished lip on the RXii's aren't going to last that long with the salty roads. I think Alex Perkins is coming mine tomorrow to pick up some bits hopefully he can get a glance of the hard work LOL

Well Alex came round and did me a massive favour of setting up my head unit and fixing my tweeter positioning and fixings. It wasn't easy (Lol, now Alex knows why the mk4 glovebox is a PITA to fit :D) but after our failed pikey attempt at no more nailsing the mount to the underside of the dash, we ended up using the supplied fixing kit and stretching them so they fit. It's not all back and looking good, sound is much better than before. So he deserves full kudos for doing that. Cheers pal.
