Windows not going all the way down?

Post by tegwin »

Anyone have any brilliant ideas as to why my drivers window has suddenly stopped going down all the way?

If I push the button two clicks it automatically drops, but when it gets to 1/4 of the way from the bottom, it simply stops as if it thinks it has fully opened...

This is a pain as I cant easily throw stuff at chavs out of the windows....

Anoyne know why this has happened?

Hmmm...

Sounds a bit weird...

Might have to pull the door card off and see if there is something wedged in the sliders...

how annoying!

Yeh they do this all the time. All you have to do is press 'up' on the button and keep hold of it til it gets to the fully up position. Keep hold of it for a few seconds afterwards and you'll hear a very subtle click. The switch resets then will work properly,, until the next time.........

They just flip out time to time. And doing what I said above just resets them.

in all seriousness mine did this and i hit the doorcard in frustration and it worked again - i know that it sounds completely idiotic but it did work for me. Worth a shot.

If Tim's solution doesn't work, wind up the windows fully up, then disconnect the battery for half hour, this will reset the positioning and should work fine again.
