K&N air filters
K&N air filters
Hello !
I am thinking of buying K&N air filter for my 2002 SDI Polo. I would like to know has anyone of you tried their products ? I read a review about them and the information there was quite different, one was saying that he experienced increase of HP and lower fuel consumption, another post was saying; don't buy this air filter, it's expensive and not as good as ordinary paper filters as K&N filter was also pulling in some dust. Maybe some one has tried them ?
Thank you.

I bought two to replace my standard panel filters. Just better as they last forever. Might make the car a tiny tiny bit more responsive but you wont really get any gains from them. Better than standard though and wont cause any problems as there just a different design to standard filters and work in the same way. Hope this helps.

Yeah, straight swap. You can get the inlet pipe from Seat. I got mine second hand. Maybe ask on the seat cupra forum?smithysmoo wrote:Where did you get the pd160 inlet from mate and is it a straight swap.
Cheers
I also modified the inlet flap at the front (it's obvious which bits to remove when you take it off to fit the inlet).
I'm very pleased with the results. The car is much much nippier now.
I still get up to 65 mpg too.
