Just got a Gti..................

Post by LozVW »

Hiya,

Just got a Gti 3dr, very happy. will post a piccy soon.

Been searching for a good one for ages. Some people wanted stupid amounts of money for cars with outer space mileages.

Missing out on two by 30mins in the last week, and then by luck i managed to be the first to my little beauty :)

What i would like to know is alittle about the modding, Ive never been in the VW scene before.

Not keen really on engine mods, more the styling :0 Love the uber euro looks some of the cars in the gallery have.

Any good ideas please let me know

looking at modding the front grille, maybe induction, lowering (tastefully) and wanted to know what Alloys are good to fit. I heard some porsche wheels do?

Also need to know the wheel offsets and data for the hubs?

thanks

Laurence.

Welcome to the Site. :D

Have a look at piccies of Members cars & see what wheels you like, most 4 stud wheels fit, porsche wheels need an adapter to fit them.

Lowering wise, it's either coilovers (infinate adjustment up to -120mm) or spring & shock kits (kits from -25mm upto -80mm)

Get some pics up & let us admire your aquisition! 8)

Welcome to the site mate. A fellow Lawrence.

Removing the bump strips is very common. Quite a pricey job but looks the *******'s.

Sadly not, they take so long to make I have had to put a price on my time as my other projects got bigger...I did look into getting the boards mass produced and bath soldered, but it was going to end up hideously expensive for small batches....

A full set is around £110 posted..... Thats 2 indicators, 2 brakes, 2 sidelights, 1 fog and 1 reverse...

Although prices vary slightly depending on exactly what spec you want... PM me with your requirements if you want
