Whats the main differences between the 1.8T 150bhp and 225bhp engine?

turbo size, exhaust manifold, injectors, MAF, if you found a leon cupra engine or TT 225 you could source the bits from it and then get it tuned up to bout 260bhp! Also if you had FMIC and exhaust maybe more!

piston size is the same as the engines both have the same bore, 1781cc

and no, they are no stronger, they use all but the same blocks

rhumor has it, bam engine codes are more likely to fail at 330 bhp than 150 bhp engine codes, as for some reason, the 150 unit is stronger, but how true this is i cannot say

Incorrect, the internals of the 210-225 engines are different and stronger. Check the part numbers. . . .
