re-spraying prices
Guna get me car re-sprayed, asap. How much is a good price, any1 able to advise me where to go, thats cheap, but good?! (am in Hull, so needs to be not too far to travel)

If you're a practical person, I suggest you prep the bodywork yourself. This can cut the price by quite a bit. I was going to re-spray my bug some years ago and was quoted £1500 if they did all the work, and a little under £800 if I preped it myself. I imagine prices have gone up somewhat since then though, but thought I'd add my say!

I'm just doing the arches (winter rust...) at the mo and i thought it was a bit much at 25-30 quid to get started... guess not looking at these figures!
Plus it's a great learning process, if you start off with some small corner of a banger
Reckon it's gonna be beautiful (well, as beautiful as a de-rusted, smoothed, colour matched wheel arch gets). Maybe you could have a go at doing your own, it'll be well satisfying if it goes right.... though of course, heartbreaking and costly if it all falls down round your ears.

only got 2 quotes up 2 now, dont really know where 2 go, a proper bodyshop is guna cost a fortune int it so avoided them up 2 now!
First price was from a mate of a mate, they work round the corner 2 each other, he said £1000
Went 2 sum1 else, he said £350-£480
Bit of a difference!!!
So dunno wot 2 do, friends say dont go 2 cheaper bloke cos it'll be a crap job (I guess they r probably right)
But ant got £1000. Guess Ill av 2 keep savin!!
