I have a 9N TDI 1.9 100pd.
What options are there for aftermarket exhausts? Do any exist that don't have the exhaust tips sticking out?

I've had the same thoughts mate, but never seen anything, you tried any shops to see if theres any off the shelf items avalible?

Not yet. Thoght people might have a feel for this....
The std exhaust gives ok power I might just go with that.

yeah just tried evilbay and it turned up nothing, same with g-werks too. Maybe custom will have to the way forward

Do TDIs sound any better though? OK the flow might give you 5 bhp but for all that cash and hassle of knocks and rattles I'm not sure it's worth it.
I've had a lot of aftermarket exhausts in the past on cars. Ranging from cheap to very expensive. Most of them have had fitting issues....

I dont think we're gona get much of a better note out of the engine tbh, i've never heard a diesel that sounds good but I can live with that. Judging by the lack of avalibility probally gona be a custom build therefore, in theroy the perfect fit lol. Less silencer's and bigger bore pipe should do the trick too
