250bhp Seat Ibiza Cupra k03s - SOLD

Post by shantybeater »

Well I've decided to put my Cupra up for sale; I've got my eye on another car and as hard as it is for me to do this I cant afford to keep two.

For more pictures please go to:

http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r65/shantybeater/

The car originally had thousands spent on it by an enthusiast named Mark Burton (although I have made a few touch myself). I have a massive folder full of receipts and servicing info. It is known by some on SeatCupra.net & a few other online clubs I spend some time on: uk-polos.net & tidyvag.co.uk

I was given a rough spec list when I bought the car but just from owning it I noticed quite a lot missing which I have added. The car stands at 72k although it may be slightly more when you view it as it's used as my daily. The car will also have oil Filter, oil, sparks & pollen filter replaced before sale.

The spec list is as follows:

- Late 02 plate
- 72k miles
- MOT till 04/05/2009
- FSH – SEAT up to 50k, receipts for all mod's & servicing carried out
- Imperial blue
- Half-leather black & grey interior
- Air conditioning
- Traction control
- ABS

Modifications:

Engine:

- K03s turbo
- A-M Motorsport, 9 core front mounted intercooler with polished piping
- Green cotton filter with polished cold air feed pipe
- Uprated G60 clutch & flywheel
- Jabbasport chip (custom map)
- 3" downpipe & 100 cell race cat
- Full turbo back stainless steel Jetex exhaust system
- Recirculation DV
- Uprated engine mounts & gearbox mount
- 4 Bar FPR & Fuel Pump
- Color coded hoses
- Polished rocker cover
- Polished inlet manifold
- Polished oil cap & dip stick

Wheels & Brakes

- 308mm front Brembo big brake kit (worth around £800 alone)
- Brembo discs front & rear
- Braided hoses
- 17" Miglia alloys with Toyo Proxies T1's
- Blue dice dust caps
- Front Ferodo DS2500 pads
- 10mm wheel spacers on rear

Handling

- H&R Cup kit (lowered around 50mm)
- SEAT Sport strut brace

Styling

- Leon Cupra front splitter
- Color coded bump strips
- Professional smoke tinted windows
- Metal pressed number plates with Seat brackets

Interior

- Nomad single A-pillar with Autometer boost gauge
- Autometer battery voltage & oil temp gauges with fitment
- Ibiza Cupra R red stitched handbrake
- Sunglasses holder
- Blue LED for alarm

ICE

- Alpine flip out monitor with matching red backlit display
- Professionally built boot install
- 10" JL Audio competition sub woofer with fiberglass enclosure
- JL Audio amplifier
- 2nd amplifier located under boot build to power front components
- Alpine 6 disk changer
- Focal component door speakers
- Standalone DVD player with infrared remote

I have printouts from Dynoplot showing an output of around 253Bhp.

As soon as I got the car I sent it to my local VAG specialist to carry out cambelt & water pump change (Metal impellor as standard plastic one is known to break), and coolant change. A common issue with the clutch pedal has also been fixed (new sensor & stronger weld).

Spark plugs, oil, oil filter & fuel filter was also carried out and all 4 tyres were replaced with Toyo Proxies T1 R's in January, all with plenty of tread left…

In June this year the air filter was replaced along with Ferodo DS2500 pads & brake fluid change. Also a new MAF & Coilpack was fitted.

Bad points:
- Car has stonechips on the front as expected for the age of the car
- There are 2 small pin dents in the drivers door & one on passenger door
- Wheels have some kerbing
- One of the front speakers has a loose connection & occasionally turns off (I haven't got round to taking off the door card)
- Interior door handles are scuffed (another common issue, cheap to replace)
- Few stone chips on the windscreen (could do with replacement pretty much always covered by your insurance with a small excess)

If I have missed anything I will go over it again when viewing the car, I'm quite honest!

I have both sets of keys….the car has always been warmed up & cooled down properly and I would appreciate the same respect if you do come & test drive it.

I am located in Bournemouth, and may be willing to travel a bit if you wish...I have priced to sell and believe this is more than fair, there is nothing out there with this much spent on it near the asking price so no silly offers. I may be willing to sell for less without the Brembo front brakes (with g60's instead) if you wish. I would like the car to go to a good owner & someone who will look after it properly...

I may be willing to part ex for something quite a lot cheaper to use as a little runner till I buy my new car

Finally I may ask you to sort out insurance for the day depending on how trustworthy you sound... serious buyers only

Please feel free to ask me any questions (have probably missed something)…

Will be a shame to see this go James! can't believe you're selling to be honest! I can vouch for this car, it is a stunner and well looked after!
Good luck with the sale!

thanks dan, to be honest I still dont have my heart set on selling it, just seeing what interest it gets...

I have had a few offers off PH but interestingly floods of messages since I put it on E38 about 2 hours ago lol!

It will be a massive shame mate! I know you'd only let it go for a really good price and the replacement will be something sweet though, so good luck in whatever happens!!

Just stay vag son 8)

well not made my mind up yet...either something very similar or a mk4 r32 (eventually bi-turbo or just turbo) or a M Z Roadster (z3 variant)...very undecided at the mo
