shark fin aerial

hi, has anyone fitted a shark fin aerial to their gti, and if so which one? also is it a straight swape or do you need an adaptor?

yep yep. They come off newer VWs such as the golf5 and need modifying to fit. MikeM sells them for £40 I believe

Cheers guys!

I have sold a few of these on various forums (crafted from all original parts) and can have one ready for delivery if VW have a final part I have been waiting on this week. They are newly converted sharkfins to work with the Lupo/Polo and other similiar aged VW's.

Its a Mk5 Golf aerial taken apart and rebuilt with other parts inside, to work with the previous generation of VW/Audi etc

Here it is in its final modified form

Reception is not as good as the original aerial but find its fine in mine (some use boosters to help, but I have not)........its a compromise between style and functionality to be honest and I have no complaints with it like others that have bought them from me.

I sell them for £40 + £3 recorded delivery unless you pick it up from Bournemouth

It works perfectly with a little booster :) And boy do I love the reflection in that shot!
