cam belt

Post by 1der »

just a quick question.
After i get my cams fitted, would i need to tell the garage when the car goes in for a service it has aftermarket cams? or would they not need to know?

if they are changing the cambelt....then yes....it might effect how they do the job...

If they are just doing a basic service and not touching the cambelt etc....then dont worry about it

no makes no difference!
if your cams have been set up right 2 the cam pullys then tdc on the pullys will still be the same so they will just time it up 2 that!

so no it makes no difference what so ever!

if you have vernier pulley's then any dicent tec will still be able 2 do it no problem!
Put it this way you dont time up the cams u time up the pullys when u do a cambelt so as long as the cams were timed up properly 2 the cam pullys it makes no difference what cams you have!
Trust me ive done a few of them 8)
