I'm paying £1300 under my own name, 1 years NCB, with my mum as a second driver.

really depends on where you live too tho fella. i had big touble trying to find insurance for mine. when i first took out my insurance when i was 19 my insurance was £2,000!

yer when i was 18 my insurace on it was 1500 but like you say alot of it comes down 2 were you live if you have a garage and what not!

anyway you think what you lot pay is bad a friend of mine (who is 22) has just got a 430 and his insurance is 9.5k a year! :shock:

But if you can aford a 100k car then you can aford 9k for the insurance! 8)

My cossy is £970 a year full comp all mods declared (450bhp, cage blablabla!) so it does get better!

Was 22 when I bought mine, 24 now but as of last week the polo is now my gf's car and I have a CTR.

lol he is iranian (related 2 the royal's out there in some distant way)
infact 4 months before his 18 his brother went home 2 run the famileys companys over there and left him his 360 spyder as a present!! sadly he couldnt get it insured normaly apart from day insurance which was £150 a day! :shock: so we only used it for mad dashes round sutton before flying home before the old bill were called! lol
And yes i once tried 2 race him in the polo 8)

lots of my mates are arabs and roll around in supercars! 8)
Sadly im a white irish/jewish (decended not rearly jewish) so i have 2 make do with the polo, escort and bike :wink:

Ha awsome, I was 19 and wanted a lupo gti but they wanted 2400quid of me so i got the polo gti without having queted insurance and it was 1200 quid the same age car aswell and area, weird!

20 now and iv just claimed costing 2200 on there behalf so my next qoute with loosing my no claims 3 years in fact gone!

Interestin it will be!

I was 17 when i bought mine. but turned 18 within 3 months of ownership. I was paying £1200 on my dads policy using his maximum no claims that was with elephant now i have come to renew at 18 with 1 yr no claims i have been quoted £1000 with me as the policy holder and both of my parents as named drivers, didnt think that was too bad!!

i was 18 when i got my polo and my insurance cost £740 with my dad as a named driver.
