You really need to get the battery as low down as possible...so stick it in the spare wheel well.....

why not do what they do in modern cars and simply make a fibreglass cover to go over the other bits and pieces so all you see are the filler caps....

with plastic cover

Without

you get the idea lol

Your putting a 20v in it? fibreglass cover is a brilliant idea, although it is kind of cheating.

Just Colour Code alot of components in there, and clean it once a month. It'll look great like that.

yer! why pay someone when i proberly know more about them than alot of people!
Pluss ive done 2-3 20v conversions in other bits before so its all prity much the same things, same problems 2 get over!
Dont know were people get the idear that its so differcult 2 do???
Hardest part is the wirring but there are people who will do that bit for you if your not 2 good at wirring! 8)

The whole thing has cost me £1500 so far and will proberly have cost me £2.5k by the time im finnished!

Anyway its a while off being done yet as i only get a hour or 2 a week 2 play with it after work, pj's, g/f and keeping the escort ready for trackdays etc

LOL proberly best you got it done by some1 then! 8)
When i say its easy i mean its as easy as fitting any engine in any car that it wasnt designed for.
Have you got a standard 20v or mapped or more?
im toying with the idear of getting h rods and slightly lower comp pistons and a slightly larger ihi and going for 350-400hp (with a lsd) but i dont want 2 go 2mad as every car i do ends up with 2much power and turns into a track based car and im determined not 2 do it 2 the polo!
How does yours behave with the power you have?
Do you have a lsd and have you had the suspention set up properly (rear beam shimed?)
