IIRC I unscrewed the obvious bolts (just the ones you can see in and around the glove box), and after removing the radio, fed it the lead down towards that direction until I saw it poking out.
This was going back to the first week I bought the car. And I knew nothing about it, or how to do it. So it's an easy task mate.

Right, I've bought and recieved an XCarLink, and are going to have a go at installing it tonight (weather permitting).
Being a complete novice, I'm in need of some advice...
The (limited) instructions say I need to connect the Earth cable to a suitable earthing point and suggest the body of the stereo. The cable is like a loop thing; so I just wondered how I connect this to the back of the stereo?
Help?

Pics as promised (cam phone, sorry):

If no one is aware of the XCarLink, it allows you to connect and control an iPod used the standard headunit; and best of all you and still use the CD changer. Works flawlessly, very impressed; even has a 3.5mm jack to connect an MP3 player. Has a lot of cable though, so kind of makes my glovebox look a mess.
