Car sub frames query!

Post by Petrol_Head »

Im considering buying some seats like this.....

Image

off ebay.

Thing is they are from a Toyota Celica... I reckon they will fit in.

But want someone to tell me about MAKING UP or EDITING sub frames to fit in a polo.

My view.. is that they are bits of metal bent into shape... some one here has to have done this before... can someone spread some light with pictures and info!

they not from a celica mate they are a cheap unbranded bucket seat. I know because I have them.
I hate the damn things so un-comfortable and I wish I had left my standard seats in.
As for subframes I have sparco ones that fit into the original runners and then onto the runners on the underside of the seat.

ARE THEY REALLY BAD???!

I'V seen loads of these on ebay and wondered why so many people were selling them?

Do you think its possible with a bit of metal work that you could make the sub frames fit?

Definitely, that's all custom sub-frames are. re-shaped and welded frames.

I'd steer clear of that specific seat though, they're ghastly!
