i dought it mate as i think the gti has a differnt manifold and the throttle is a fly by wire type so it controled by your ecu! Not sure if your ecu will run it!
However if you were running a mappable ecu then you could use the polo gti manifold and throttle! 8)

But i think you were looking for a cheep upgrade!

yh thats why i s was asking im gonna get a stage 2 remap. The guy goes you will see alot higher gains if your throttle body was bigger. Im sure the throttle on my polo is controlled in exactly the same way as the one on a GTI. Do you know what size it is neway?

IMHO...the fly by wire throttle on the GTI is s**t...

Get yourself a set of motorbike injection throttle bodies, get them setup properly on the engine and you will get far higher gains per pound than you would wiht the gti setup....

The main restirction on the intake is the cast manifold and head,.,...NOT the throttle body itself!

I do want to put to much time and effot into fabricating parts and making sure they fit etc. The GTI throttle body works in exactly the same way as the 1.4 16v fly by wire. So does any1 know if the size of the thorttle body on a GTI atleast that way i can see if it is actually bigger or not.

Wow that alot bigger then by 51mm!!! Just done everything to the car i wanna do! cat back exhaust, high flow car, bmc cda induction kit, ram style air intake etc. Made the car identicle to a gti!!!! So just tryna get as much as i can from the engine so gonna get a stage 2 remap to get it up to around 100bhp.

i dought it will comunicate with your ecu 2 be honnest mate and i work for vw!
bike carbs rearly arnt alot of work mate! theres loads of companys who will suplie u with the bits u need and im sure some1 will have it already on a shelf as your engine is 99% the same as a gti lump!
In fact get in touch with autosport as i know they will have all the bits and be able 2 set it up for u!
They make alot of the parts for the polo cup cars!

tps sensor i would guess is different!
Maybe wrong so let me know if it works as id be intrested 2 know!

U do know fitting a 2big throttle will kill your throttle responce as the manifold wont be able 2 cope with the difference in afs (air flow speed!)
But it depends from engine 2 engine so no1 who hasnt tried this will be able 2 tell u its just r&d that will tell if it works!

Good luck
