sunday evening i was on my way home rushin back for top gear, got home locked car up and came to watch top gear this morning i went to get into car and couldnt the alarm wouldnt open the car so i opened with the key went to start and as dead as u know what milage werent on the dash nothing !

jumped started the car and the cooling fan came straight on so it must have stayed on all nite and drained my battery.
Has any one got any ideas what it could be, or even happened to ya?

I've disconnected the fan now so it doesnt flatten my battery!

the relay?

Dodgy fan switch?...Is there a fan switch in the radiator or does it use the engine temp switch.... hmmm

umh, i had to disconnect it for it to stop, put ignition on and still running so went in a huff disconnected it put bonnet down and now in a mood lol, so now i need to find the problem out and also get down to vw to pick my reverse light switch up, wat eva next :(

temperature sender was done not so long ago !

any one got any thoughts or happened to u before ?

as tegwin said fan switch common as muck!
there only cheep so dont worry 2 much about it! 8)

i'll get on the phone to vw this morning and get a fan switch ordered then, oh aswell with the reverse light switch :evil:
