I need a ReConditioned Gearbox for 2000 Polo Gti

My gearbox has gone on my polo gti.
I have been told by 2 garages that their suppliers dont supply re-conditioned gearboxes.

So I am been quoted a lot of money for a new gearbox.

Does anyone know any companies who supplu reconditioned gearboxes with warranty?

Please help

Alot of people sell reconditioned gearboxes, the best options however are the following:

Get your own box reconditioned. This is a good method as you know the history of your box. (Â£450-750)

Buy a brand new box from VW. Will cost about Â£1.1k, but you do get some back after you return your old 'box.

Get a reinforced reconditioned box off eBay: these were on sale not so long ago, looked pretty good, they offered free fitting too. (About Â£450)

if you need a box give me a pm i have one waiting that i put new bearings in it a year back but i would sugest only using it 2 get rebuilt!
