recess?

hey people

i want to take my number plate off the front of my car but realised there was a recess on the panel at the front jus ontop of the number plate, can i buy that panel but one without the recess?

most people have filled the plastic and painted the black strip so it's flush
there's not a part that i'm aware of that is a direct replacement

Here is a haphazard guess! The B5 Passat is sold in China, and anyone in Europe that wants to move their number plate mounting position, simply buys the China market continuous bumper moulding (Passat number plate fits at that height normally). So, as Polo 9N is sold in China, maybe have a look on a VW China site and see what that area looks like and then try to buy the correct parts on ebay from "vagteam" for instance! Now that would be a challange!?!
