anybody no what the law is on front numberplate positioning? as when i smooth my front bumper i cant put my plate on the bottom grill as i dont have one due to my intercooler being there? any info would be much appreciated

I’m sure I read on here somewhere, that it has to be at the foremost part of the car.

thats the problem with having a cooler and smoothed bumpers.
where i run a stubby front plate as i have a private reg i am just going to stick mine on the bumper where it previously was even though its been smoothed.

^^ the best look anyway in my opinion...glad to hear youve come round to the idea tom
and no jamie i dont think its a clever idea to cover up your cooler with a numberplate....you will definately get a big performance loss at least, there is a reason why coolers sit where they do without any obstruction

Not quite on the grill.... on the splitter. Not sure how low down ur cooler is - but that might work!

I thought it has to be a certain height off the floor for speed camera purposes.

I have to agree with Tomo and Shanty, there really is something about the orignial plate position it just looks better there IMO

Na wouldn't work on yours mate, the bracket is secured into the grill as you can see here..

I'm gunna make a front monting bracket when I can. Am aiming for as close to OEM positioning with it as possible too.
I hate the idea of sticking a numberplate back on a smooth bumper, I know it's harmless....

just make it easy 2 remove as i only plan on using it on long trips!
