FOR SALE - BMC CDA with black silicone elbow

Post by Mike_M »

I have a CDA85-150

It was on my GTI for a short period and before that on a BMW 328 but taken off due to insurance restrictions so going to sell. I have made a metal bracket that allows it to be bolted to where the original airbox central mounting point is and there is also a custom black silicone elbow hose to the throtle body as the CDA intake is larger than the usual CDA70 people buy.

All works fine and is in VGC.....my GTI did pull quite nicely with it on ;)

£95 for CDA with custom silicone hose and £10 delivery unless you pick up from Bournemouth

Will get a picture up after work

Yes mate, but that is only a BMC recommendation........not much larger but fits perfectly on my GTI with the engine cover on aswell.

Its a max of 2cm larger in all dimensions......hence the custom silicone hose to fit the throttle body

CDA70-130
intake=70mm
130mm x 185mm

CDA85-150
intake=85mm
150mm x 200mm

Neither are designed specifically for the GTI.

The 1.6 engine sits smack bang in the middle of both.....Alex and myself has the same one with no issues, only selling as its sitting in the garage as otherwise I will just store it if it does not sell as they are expensive to buy new.

There will be everything for you to bolt it onto the GTI and connect to the throttle body.......you will then have to connect a cold air feed to the BMC

Had a couple of enquiries on other forums, so let me know when you can

No cold air feed, but will supply the BMW elbow joint that slots in perfectly (one on the left).......the small hose coming out of it is where I had attached my original oil breather hose that was attached to the airbox
